Happy Mother's Day, Samantha!

For Mother's Day this year, Samantha asked that she have five hours to sew without having to worry about the boys. So on Friday, I took the boys in the stroller for the afternoon. It was a beautiful day.

Julian wanted to go play at the landscaped waterfall on campus. More precisely, he wanted to play in the waterfall. His pants were soaked within twenty minutes. So, he didn't wear pants the rest the day.

Unfortunately, the day was not without casualties. Tennyson was leaning out of the stroller to get something and accidentally fell. When I looked over, I saw two feet sticking up in the air. You can always tell how hurt a child is by how long they stop breathing after the initial wail. He stopped breathing for so long I started laughing before he started crying again. He picked up another injury on his forehead this week.

One feature of the waterfall is the colony of ducks that live there. Springtime means ducklets.

I am not much of a bird watcher or photographer. But this seemed like a nice looking bird, and it let me get pretty close.

We gave same a little over four-and-a-half hours before we came home. Sam made great use of the time and was able to finish a skirt for which she purchased the fabric almost a year ago. Doesn't she look great!

Happy Mother's Day.
