So I've been running pretty regularly for several months. A few weeks ago I ran 6.24 miles. It was the farthest I had ever run. Until today. Today I ran 6.78 miles. I am so excited! I didn't do it fast, it took me about 75 minutes (that includes all the time we spend sitting at traffic lights). But I did it. AND I ran all but .1 miles. I think I am for sure going to do the Rex Lee 10K in March. YAY!
Oh, and when I got home this morning I had ice in my hair because I was sweating and it was 21* outside. :)

that is super hard core! great job! i loved that feeling of breaking your limits. i think once you've reached this point you'll just keep going and going. I noticed that for me, once i found a good rhythm and pace and made it passed a certain point i could just keep going and going (to a certain point at least). i think i'm gonna do the 5K again this year, but just try to do it a lot faster than i did last year. but now i've got to start running again!
Yay! Congratulations Sam, I am proud of you for working so hard at reaching your goals! Awesome job!
You know you're a real runner when you get ice in your hair!! :) Way to go! You're such an inspiration! You're doing great! Love ya!
