The last month has been a bit busy. I can't believe that June is almost over. Here is a brief re-cap of our month. I hope I can start posting more regularly.
Last week we bought a new mini-van. We purchased a Toyota Sienna. We love the extra space and the kids are super excited as well.
Julian figured out how to climb up the fence in our backyard. He asked if I would help him up the wall, but the rule in our house is that you have to figure it out on your own that way you can get down too. You can see his process in trying to get up.
The boys wanted me to take photos of their accomplishment.
About 30 minutes later Tennyson was calling me and I came out to find him on top of the wall as well. He was very proud of himself.
Going through my camera I found the following photos taken by Julian.
Here is blurry picture of my garden shortly after we planted. So far the Honeydew died, it died last year as well. Not sure what I'm doing wrong. Oh well. While I was planting my starts Julian desperately wanted to help plant as well. He took about 10 different partially filled seed packages and threw them over the garden. I now have dill growing in random places, 5 pumpkin plants that are exploding, and a few tomato plants that are volunteers. The plants that I planted from starts are growing really well.
We had a picnic the other night at Canyon Glen Park and we roasted hot dogs. JD did a great job with ours... just looking at them makes my mouth water. I attempted a JDawgs copycat sauce, it was OK.
I made Alanna's hat... I think she looks pretty cute.
The boys were squirrel hunting.
They had lots of fun exploring the park.
Other then that, we've been to see Brave (Great movie BTW), had movie nights with friends, gone to 7 Peaks, checked out books from the library and we've instituted No TV Days a few times a week. We are having a great summer with lots more planned for the next 2 months.
