Firsts

We've had some interesting firsts around here lately.

So I was getting ready for the day when Julian comes running in saying, "Mommy look! Look at my hair!" I thought that he found the hair that I kept from his first hair cut as a baby.  Until I saw the amount of hair that he was holding. I asked him where he got it and he told me that Tennyson cut his hair and that he cut Tennyson's hair.

I found the spot on Tennyson's head.

It took me a minute to find the spot on Julian's head. Then he told me very excitedly that he cut Alanna's hair too. Oh my... I never thought I would be dealing with the "I cut my own hair" situation.

Then a week or so later on a Sunday morning Tennyson flushed a rubber raquetball down the toilet. It got stuck in the toilet. Luckily the water was clean. Monday morning rolls around and the kids and I headed out to Home Depot. We got a new wax ring, the kids went to a friend's house and I took the toilet off of the floor and pushed the ball out with a small plumber's snake. Oh man - it was a long day.
