Angry Dinosaur

At the Library on Tuesday we got a book called The Angry Dinosaur. It is about a little boy who gets so mad sometimes and becomes an angry dinosaur. He blows fire and rips and tears things. He then feels ashamed and starts to cry and becomes a little boy again so that he can say he's sorry. It's a great book to help kids understand the emotion of being Angry. Julian has been experimenting with his emotions and communicating those emotions a lot lately. We had this conversation in the car yesterday as we were passing the Dr.'s office on the way to our destination.

Julian: I going to be a big angry dragon and blow fire at the doctor.
Mommy: You are going to be an angry dragon and blow fire? Why will you blow fire?
Julian: Because the doctor gives me shots and it makes me a big angry dragon. But I need water to blow fire.
Mommy: You need water to blow fire? Do you have water to blow fire?
Julian: Yes I have water. I will blow a big fire at the doctor.

Our conversation continued for a bit while we talked about how to become a little boy again. He has expressed in more then one way that he does not like the doctor and getting shots. Poor kid.
