Yesterday JD had the following conversation with Julian:
Julian: Daddy, will you teach me to juggle?
Daddy: Julian, I don't know how to juggle. If I did I would teach you.
Julian: Daddy, a clam can teach me how to juggle.
Daddy: A clam can?
Julian: Yes, a clam has a big red nose and they throw things in the air to juggle.
Daddy (laughing): Oh, you mean a Clown.
Julian: Oh yeah, your right! A Clown!
For the last few months Tennyson has decided that he WILL do EVERYTHING on his own. If you say "get in your carseat" and as he's playing and not obeying you try to put him in his seat, he will scream, climb out of his seat to the beginning point (either the floor of the car or outside the car) and climb back into his seat on his own. The whole while yelling "self! self! self!"
Last night we had spaghetti for dinner. Tennyson asked for his hands to be cleaned so JD cleaned his hands, but Tennyson forgot to mention that he wanted to complete this action on his own. So he got a new wipe, picked up spaghetti to dirty his hands and then cleaned them again himself.
These boys make me laugh every day. They are so awesome.
