I have always been interested in calligraphy. However, I have never really had the interest and patience necessary to be successful at it. I still do not. I do have the patience and interest to use a digital tablet to capture some awkward calligraphic strokes; clean it up using digital vector imaging software and stylize several glyphs; import those glyphs into 3D modelling software and further clean up the glyphs to produce clean curves; create 3D objects in the modelling software; set up a dozen lights in the modelling software; and rendering the scene for three and a half hours to obtain the lettering displayed above.
