I have always been touched by our national anthem, but today as I was standing at the starting line of the race listening to it, I was reminded of how many blessings we receive by living in this country. I am grateful to people like my Grandpa Skinner who fought to keep our country free and for people like my Grandpa Bridges who helped to build it up and keep us going. I come from a long line of Patriotic honorable people who have not only fought to make this country what it is today but who also support those men and women who do so. I am grateful that the Lord has seen fit to allow me to be born in such a place and raise children here. I hope all of you are having a fabulous 4th. Happy Birthday America.
It's also my birthday :) And as my mother will tell everyone, I apprently shot out like a rocket and have been continuing that way ever since. I started out the morning waking up at 6:00 AM to pump a bottle (YAY Tennyson will actually take one) and get ready for my very first 5K.

I finished in about 37 minutes, I'll know my exact time in a week or so. I'm excited. I finished and I ran up the hill all the way and sprinted to the end! I was pretty pumped. This is me and the boys at the finish line.

Then I got to take a family nap. This was a photo from yesterday, snuggling my boys... I look like my mom in this photo I think, but we did it again today. YAY for naps! I have been feeling really well rested the last few days. :)

On the menu for tonight: Porterhouse Steaks with Olive Mayo (sounds gross but is awesome), corn on the cob, mashed potatoes, cupcakes from the Sweet Tooth Fairy, shopping for a Birthday Dress, and Fireworks. I'm way excited.
