This year a few friends and I decided it might be fun to do a Joy School type playgroup with our kids (ages 19 months, 2 years, 2.5 years, and 3). We trade weeks and hold it every Tuesday and Thursday. We are each assigned 2 different topics that we can go over how we want each week. My topics are Colors and Sounds. Mainly it's just a fun play time for the kiddos and the other 3 moms get a break to get a few things done, or just rest!
Today we made shoe box guitars with rubberbands. They are super simple and I had forgotten how much fun I had with them when I was a kid.

All you need is a smallish box (I used left over boxes for pint jars) and stretchy rubber bands. Stretch them over the box and viola you have a guitar. We rocked out for a good 20 minutes today and the only girl, Chloe, found a maraca that she used as a microphone. It was really fun.

I love Lawson's smile! haha! He loves his guitar. What a fun idea. We've had so much fun being over at your house so much lately! Lawson loves coming over and he LOVES school!
