Julian said his first prayer today. That is one thing I think I will never get tired of listening to. Granted, he was repeating the words coming out of my mouth, but he asked to pray and that was awesome. But, he knelt down and folded his arms the whole time. I was impressed.
It made me ponder though on the purity of children and how greatly we are blessed to have the opportunity to have these little spirits in our homes and our lives. And what a great responsibility it is and what an honor it truly is to be parents. It makes me grateful to be a mother and inspires me to be a better example for Julian and my other children.
It also inspires me to be better about enjoying the moment, snuggling when he needs snuggling, playing when he needs playing and praying when he wants to pray. It definately improved my mood and was a little reward for me.
