Julian's Expressing Himself

Julian has been getting really good at expressing himself lately.

Today, Julian is sick, he's got a cold and usually with that comes some wheezing and coughing. This is the conversation we had as he was going to bed:

Julian: I'm sick
Daddy: I know you're sick, I'm sorry.
Julian: I feel yucky.
Daddy: I'm sorry.
Julian: I need chocolate milk. It will make me feel all better.
Daddy (laughing): Ok.

He's also been letting us know that we can just leave him alone. If there is something that we want him to do that he doesn't want to do he comes back at us with: "Just leave me alone guys."

He is also starting to let us know when he doesn't understand something. If we say a word or sentence that he doesn't understand he asks "What are you talking about?" Once we explain further things are great, but otherwise he'll ask that until we answer him.

He's also learning the fine art of randomly mimicking words that we may not necessarily want him to. He was watching a movie and they used the words "Shut-up!" He then turned to his Dad who was talking to me and said "Shut-up Daddy!" I didn't think that was a bad word until I heard it come out of my kids mouth. My mom was right :)

He's also started closing the door from the living room to the kitchen if I'm being to loud.

He's a sweet kid and is learning so fast. It's so much fun to watch him grow up.
